KLCC & maduku Teque

Petang tadi had meeting with client at KLCC at 6pm so had arranged with Nazri for him to pick up the kids from daycare. Around 520pm he called to say he would be late so instead I went to pick up the kids and brought them with me to KLCC where Nazri would meet us at 6pm, in time for me to go for the meeting. I even thought I might be able to steal some me-time after the meeting before going home. Hah, wishful thinking! After my thing was done, Nazri and the kids were still in KLCC so I rejoined them to have my dinner pulak since they had already eaten. It's nice to be able to eat in peace while your spouse yang dah makan entertains the kids kan? I ordered and as soon as the food came, he got up and said ok then, got to go off to meet up with Teque! I guess someone got their me-time agenda jugak...

Suamiku dan maduku, hala pandangan sama, warna baju pun sama! Itulah coordination namanya... After dinner, I took the kids to see the fountains and KLCC lit up at night

Macam tajuk drama je.. Ini Eza. Ini belated birthday lunch untuk Eza (yang rupa2nya dia belanja utk diri sendiri dan juga saya - tradisi baru, birthday girl yang kena belanja orang lain! itchy feet ramblings

Feeling very itchified lately to take off, go on an adventure somewhere...I use the word "adventure" loosely as budget-wise I can't go very far and if I'm going solo without the kids, it does mean somewhere I have to be able to return from by 530pm to pick them up from daycare...so I guess it doesn't leave very many options adventure-wise especially if you take out shopping malls (see issue re:budget above). I actually felt like driving to melaka on a whim this morning - if Eza had been able to ponteng kerja to join me, I think I really would have done it. It's been awhile since I've been on a Thelma & Louise road trip.

What is it with me and this attraction to national monuments? Hari tu dah pergi Tugu Negara:

Sampai petang I just kept feeling restless and wanting to do something impulsive...haaa padan muka, nak impulsive sangat, terus datang bertubi-tubi meetings I have to attend this week all of a sudden, padaaaaaankan muka kau Aishah......duk diam2 je kat ofis tu yeeeeee.....

Zoo Negara, woo hoo!!

Woke up last Saturday morning to what I thought would be a hazy cloudy day and decided to bring the kids to the zoo. The last time we went was probably a year ago on Yusuf's birthday. Of course by the time we were all ready to leave, it started to get hot and when we arrived at the zoo sometime around 11am, the sun was blazing in the sky. Surprisingly my parents had decided to join us at the zoo instead of later for lunch or tea, a decision I'm sure they began to regret as soon as the lovely zoo smell in the heat of the day hit us, tapi cucu punya pasal, takpe sanggup! Ramai betul orang & rombongan sekolah lagi of all ages, taska, tadika, budak sekolah kecik & besar, rombongan sekolah OKU, berbilang bangsa, memang 1Malaysia all sweating together as we went from animal to animal. For our smaller kids, the main attraction was of course the bigger animals that they could see, primarily the elephants, especially as you could feed them with bamboo (@RM3 per bamboo stick).

Sampai ke tu Amani? Kesian gajah kena stretch.

Ni lagilah, nampak macam nak tergelincir gajah ni ke dalam longkang.

AKHIRNYA....dapat jugak gajah tu makan...

In the end, the whining kids ("panas", "haus", "penat") and adults ("lama lagi ke?", "naik tram je tak boleh ke?") got to me us and we went on one round of the zoo on the zoo train/tram before leaving..till next year then..maybe
